VIPRE Advanced Security installs with a variety of settings that are already enabled in an effort to provide the ideal protection for the majority of our customers. Enabling and disabling other features inside of the program should be done with care as they may interfere the proper operation of other aspects of your computer.
If you are experiencing an issue that you believe VIPRE to be the cause of, we recommend trying to Temporarily Shutdown VIPRE to see if the issue continues. If the issue resolves, please see our Knowledge Base or Contact Us for further assistance in resolving your issue.
If you are unsure of the changes that were made to the various VIPRE settings and wish to reset them to default, you can do so by clicking Manage at the top of the program. Then, on the left side, click the category you'd like to reset and scroll to the very bottom and select the Restore to Defaults button. This will reset the options for that category to the default settings; the same way they were after initial VIPRE setup.
